FAQs.

We understand that not everyone has used a financial adviser before, or thinks they need one. Here’s a few of the frequently asked questions to help you make your mind up.

Do I need a certain amount of money to get financial advice?

We regularly help clients with a wide range of one-off financial needs, where no minimum wealth is required – including mortgage advice, life insurance, business protection, care fees planning, equity release, and pensions via auto-enrolment or divorce settlements.

However, if you’re seeking guidance on investing, our financial advice services are typically most suitable for individuals with £250,000 or more in investable assets such as pensions, ISAs or savings outside property. This ensures we can provide tailored, ongoing advice that adds real value.

Whatever your circumstances, you’re welcome to get in touch – and if we’re not the right fit, we’ll always do our best to point you in a helpful direction.

What's included in a free initial consultation?

Everyone is in a different financial position, faces different financial challenges and has different financial goals.

The aim of a free initial consultation is for one of our financial advisers to find out exactly what your situation is, what aspects of your finances you need help with and what you want to achieve from the process.

What do we advise on?

With a highly qualified team of expert financial advisers, we advise on the vast majority of financial topics. Whether it is as simple as arranging a mortgage for your first home or a more complex issue such as writing reports on pension sharing, we can help. Read more about our services →.

What happens after the free initial consultation?

After your consultation, your financial adviser will let you know:

  • If financial advice is right for you.

  • How you may benefit from taking financial advice.

  • How we can help you meet your goals.

  • Our charging structure.

How long does the free initial consultation last?

Our free initial consultations typically last 30 minutes, so there's plenty of time for you to tell us the full story, provide all the background information and ask us questions about the financial advice process.

Will you answer my specific financial questions?

Our advisers are happy to discuss your situation in a broad context. However, answering your specific questions falls under the heading of financial advice, which, as a firm of regulated financial advisers, can only be done once you become a client.
